About Rabbi Zvi Kogan
Rabbi Zvi Kogan HY"D was a Chabad Shliach (rabbinical emissary) to the United Arab Emirates together with his wife Rivky. Zvi worked on behalf of the Jewish community in the UAE, and ran Dubai's first ever Kosher supermarket, Rimon Kosher.

In November 2024, he was reported missing by his family. He was found to have been abducted by mercenaries attempting to kidnap him to Oman in his own car. When he fought back, their plan failed, and they murdered him in cold blood.

He was 28, and is survived by his parents, siblings, and his wife Rivky.

At his funeral in Israel, Chabad of Dubai announced plans to establish the UAE's first official Chabad centre in his name, "Beis Zvi".

Zvi was a beacon of light in the UAE, tirelessly working to strengthen Jewish presence and peaceful, positive relations in the region. His dedication to his community and his unwavering faith were an inspiration the many people who knew him.

May his memory be a blessing.
